Georgia Protectvie Services Ongoing Training

Businesses expect professional, highly trained guards.

Georgia Protective Services differentiates itself from other security providers by placing the ongoing training of our staff in such high importance. All of our armed security officers receive fire arms training in excess of state mandated requirements.

The state of Georgia requires that a security officer must receive only 15 hours of training to receive certification. At Georgia Protective Services we require our officers to receive 47 hours of training, the same amount required by most police departments, both in the classroom and in the field.

Georgia Protective Services officers must also take part in chemical weapons training in both classroom and practical field training where they must experience firsthand the effects of the pepper spray they carry while on duty. Officers who are also firearms certified must also be able to hit a practice target while feeling the effects of the pepper spray. This training gives our security officers the confidence to be able to handle high stress situations in a safe, educated and logical manner.
